PRICING & QUOTE SCOPE

A quote built around your shipment.

Confirm the products, work, storage period and destination. Your itemized quote sets the charging basis and the approvals needed before stock moves.

WHAT YOUR QUOTE DEFINES
  1. The work

    Receiving, checks, prep and release.

  2. The charging basis

    Quantities, materials, storage and route.

  3. The approval points

    Extra work, exceptions and dispatch.

Prep work is only one part of a shipment. We scope the origin work, storage, destination services, and transport so you can see what your plan involves before goods move.

ORIGIN HANDLING

Receiving & inspection

Supplier arrivals, quantities, agreed visual or functional checks, sampling, and the requested inspection record.

PREPARATION

Unit prep & materials

Labels, protective packaging, polybagging where agreed, accessories, kitting, bundles, and branded presentation.

WAREHOUSE

Storage & stock handling

Storage duration and space, SKU organization, stock movements, batch release, and consolidation.

ORDER HANDLING

Order fulfillment

The agreed origin or destination workflow, picking and packing, packing materials, carrier handoff, and order reporting.

TRANSPORT

Outbound shipping

Packed carton weight and dimensions, destination, service level, customs responsibilities, and receiving arrangements.

AFTER THE SALE

Return processing

Local receiving, the agreed condition assessment, repacking, restocking, consolidation, or approved disposal.

What changes the scope?

  • SKU count, quantities, product dimensions, and weight
  • Inspection depth, sampling, evidence, and exception handling
  • Fragility, batteries, liquids, or other special handling needs
  • Packaging materials, bundles, inserts, and assembly complexity
  • Storage duration, release frequency, and destination arrangements

How to review an itemized quote

The example below shows the items to confirm; it is not a rate card. Your quote states the actual quantities, charging basis, inclusions, and approval requirements.

Know what the quoted unit means

Compare quotes for the same product and finished packaging. Specify whether the charge is per sellable unit, component, completed set, carton, order or handling step. For a kit, list the component quantities and the finished-set label so assembly work can be priced consistently.

Separate labor, packaging materials, storage, rework, outbound handling and transport. Record any minimum charge and the approval needed for work outside the original scope.

Separate processing time from transit

Agree when warehouse processing starts: for example, after the required stock, approved instructions and label files are available. Identify waiting time for supplier replacements or your release decision. Carrier transit and marketplace receiving are separate stages, with their own estimates and dependencies.

Review the quote before sending stock

Confirm five things

The work included, charging basis, materials or transport charged separately, receiving instructions, and estimated schedule. We also agree who approves changes if the physical stock differs from the brief.

Rates, minimum volumes, materials, and destination handling are confirmed in your individual quote. A new product or changed shipment plan may need a revised scope.

Allow for sorting and rework

For mixed or incorrectly labeled stock, confirm identification, counting, old-label removal, new labels, replacement packaging, storage and onward delivery separately. Agree who authorizes extra work and how charges are recorded.

Quote the finished customer parcel

Provide packed dimensions in cm, gross weight in kg, destination country and typical order contents. Ask for the route’s chargeable-weight method, rounding, minimums and applicable surcharges. Compare the same basket and packing specification across offers.

Review parcel measurements and shipping fee scope

Compare charging events as well as rates

Confirm the billing unit and trigger for receiving, counting, stock entry, rework, storage and each release. Ask how minimum charges and repeated handling apply, and how extra work connects to your approval record.

Separate MOQ from minimum billing

Product and packaging purchase quantities are different from a fulfillment service minimum or monthly minimum charge. Confirm which usage fees count toward a minimum, which are additional, and what remains chargeable in a month without orders.

Compare low-volume trial scenarios

Review quoted and billed work together

Match each charge to the agreed rate, billing unit, actual quantity and approved changes. For revised freight or extra work, request the measurement or work evidence and keep unresolved items linked to any later correction.

PREPARE YOUR SHIPPING BRIEF

Turn carton measurements into shipment totals.

Use the outside dimensions and gross weight of each packed carton. Put cartons with the same dimensions and weight in one group. Add a separate group for each different carton type, up to 10 groups. Count physical cartons once, even when they contain several SKUs. You can chat with us at any time; this optional calculator helps you prepare details to share.

Carton group 1

Every carton in this group uses the same outside dimensions and gross weight.

1 of 10 carton groups

Group volume is length × width × height × cartons ÷ 1,000,000, in cubic metres (CBM). Add all groups for the shipment total. Gross weight includes products and packaging. This is a measurement aid; freight rates, chargeable weight, and storage charges depend on the agreed route and service.
